Why the SK15 Holder Matters
If you’ve ever used plastic connectors, you know they eventually melt or warp under constant heat. It’s a nightmare. The SK15 is different. It’s a spring-loaded ceramic piece that doesn’t flinch when things get hot. Those springs keep the lamp pins locked in tight, even if your machine is vibrating like crazy. Without that tight grip, you get arcing. And nobody wants to deal with that.
The Logic Behind the Curve
A straight tube is fine for a flat surface, but if you’re doing PET blowing or shrink wrapping, you need the heat to actually hug the product. So, we bend the mounting frames to fit your specific radius and pop the lamps into the SK15 holders before they ever leave our doors. It becomes a simple drop-in replacement. You wire it to the power supply, flip the switch, and you’re done. No more sending technicians into cramped spaces to fiddle with alignments or solder connections.
A Couple of Things to Keep in Mind
These high-density modules heat up fast. Really fast. But because the heat is concentrated in a smaller area—especially at the center of the arc—it gets intense. You’ll want to double-check your cooling fans or airflow. If the heat reflects off the plate and lingers, those ceramic holders can get too hot.
