The Deal With Power Density

By tweaking the distribution profile, you can isolate specific thermal zones. It’s like using a magnifying glass instead of a floodlight. You get to see exactly how a new formula handles localized heat stress. If the power is too concentrated? You’re looking at cracks or melted spots. Too diffused? You’ll never pin down the glass transition temperature (Tg). It’s a delicate balance.
No More Factory Presets

The Trade-off
Now, there’s a catch. There always is. The tighter you focus that laser for a precise map, the smaller your sampling area gets. You get incredible detail, sure, but you lose the big picture of the thermal gradient across the whole sheet. It’s a tug-of-war between spot size and total area.
