
Why We Don’t Weld Our Heating Tables Shut
Here is the reality of IP44 waterproof heating tables: they’re great until something breaks. In a busy industrial shop, infrared lamps are basically consumables. They will burn out. Now, if you weld those heating elements directly into a sealed chassis, you’ve just created a nightmare. One dead tube and your expensive table is either a giant piece of scrap metal or a project that takes hours of miserable teardown to fix. We think that’s crazy.
The “Drop-In” Approach

You can swap out a burnt-out element without ever touching the main waterproof seal of the enclosure.
The Five-Year Itch
Fast forward five years. Your table has been through thousands of heat cycles—expanding and contracting every single day. By now, seals get brittle. Things wear down. In a traditional setup, you’d have to strip the entire table just to get to the heating core. It’s a mess. With our modular gear, you just slide out the dead module, unplug the quick-link terminal, and slide in a fresh one. You’re back in business in 15 minutes. Compare that to a full day of electrical rework, and the choice is pretty obvious.
The Trade-off (Because nothing is perfect)
I’ll be honest with you: modular connectors aren’t exactly the same as a direct solder joint. You’ll see a tiny bit of electrical resistance, which means a marginal voltage drop. For almost every industrial job, you won’t even notice it. But here is the catch: you have to make sure those connectors are torqued exactly to spec. If a connection is loose, the heat starts building up at the terminal instead of in the lamp. That’s how you get arcing, and that’s how you start a fire. Tighten them up, and you’re golden.
